Shane, the owner at North Shore towbars provides the best service I have had at just about anywhere. He is super friendly, has excellent communication with quotes, job and very accommodating and top workmanship. He’s price is also much better than anywhere else I searched. I highly recommend his business if you want a towbar or roofracks which I also purchased and he fitted for a great price.

Had a Pioneer platform and heavy duty towbar fitted – at home, and quicker than you could say ‘lets hitch up the trailer’. Shane is meticulous and will not leave until its perfect. He was able to suggest and source exactly what I required. Would absolutely recommend you have a chat with him for any accessories, or towing needs.

True customer service is still around! I called Holden for a price, 2 others and North Shore, and not only was North Shore cheaper than the others and hundreds of dollars less than Holden, but Shane explained why he thought Holden Genuine was the best bar for my application and so I was getting exactly the same product, but much less and I didn’t have to take my car to the dealer and wait 2 hours!

So, I did not get a towbar fitted by Shane, just thought I’d add that. BUT, I was having a hell of a time fitting a towbar to my vehicle and phoned Shane at around 6:30pm the day before a long weekend to ask for help. Seriously friendly, super helpful (his suggestion made it possible for us to continue) and he spent probably 10 – 15 mins with me on the phone. For something he wasn’t going to get paid for. So, the least I could do is share the word. The guy is good, knows his stuff (knew what he was on about like he was looking under the car with me) and is approachable.

Shane was prompt, called several times confirming he had the bar and when I had to change the logistics around where it would be fitted, he said sure, made it happen and made it easy. It was only after he fitted the towbar that I realised he does roof racks as well and I thought I wish I had known him when I went through the process of researching, buying and fitting my racks too. Great service, great rate, great communication and see you again in a couple of years when I trade vehicles again.

I phoned a bunch of tow bar fitters but they all involved sitting around for a couple of hours in their yard waiting for the job to be done. North Shore towbars came to my home, did a fantastic job and at the same price as I would have paid hanging around somewhere else.
Shane couldn’t have been friendlier and he even fixed a fuse in my car that I had been having trouble with for some time, at no extra charge! Couldn’t recommend these guys highly enough.
